I had a lot of joint pain from my job from tingling in my feet to arthritis in my shoulders. It wasn’t stopping me from doing anything, but it became increasingly uncomfortable. Since coming to Upper Cervical Chiropractic, the tingling in my feet has improved. The numbness is still there, but the pins and needles feelings are gone. The pain across my shoulders has diminished as well. I never expected to have any improvement all, so I’m excited to see how much this will help.

When I first went to Upper Cervical Chiropractic of New York, I had low back pain with pain radiating down both of my thighs. Doc. Gertner is great; the results of the treatment are everything he said it would be - only sooner. After the first visit, I could turn my head completely from side to side and the range of motion returned to almost normal - something I haven't experienced in years. I'm about 4 weeks into my treatment now, after each session there's less stiffness, less pain, greater range of motion.

The care I have received from Dr. Gertner has literally forever changed the outcome of my life. When I first entered Dr. Gertner's office, I was suffering from chronic and debilitating neck, shoulder and back pain. Various professionals had diagnosed my pain as depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and/or migraines. I began seeing Dr. Gertner 6 years ago when my broken ankle meant I had to be on crutches for a month which was causing pain from misalignment. Note only did I experience a great improvement there, but ongoing back pain from childhood began to resolve. I had a number of very jolting accidents as a child, and the pain in my lower back was a resulting chronic condition. I cannot accurately remember the time frame now, but I believe it was by the end of month 6, 7 or 8 of seeing Dr. Gertner that I no longer had pain. Since then I have needed to visit between once a week and once a month (depending on the sports I've been doing and the heavy things I've been foolishly lifting!) to maintain this alignment. And, in all these years, I have been back pain free. It is a blessing. I continue to see Dr. Gertner regularly to help maintain my health and wellbeing. And to minimize arthritis and spinal disc-related issues that can manifest as one ages. It makes sense to me - since I want to be active and healthy for the rest of my life - to invest in cares to maintain my current good health (rather than waiting for a health problem and then try to "fix" it).

I had upper back pain and an isolated sharp pain in the back of my head that would not go away. I had went to a regular chiropractor for relief, and after 5 adjustments I was worse. I could not lift my arms up over my head. I was devastated! I was so scared that nobody could help me. A co-worker told me about Dr. Gertner and I am so happy I went. I was skeptical that anybody could help me, and I thought I had permanent damage from my visits with the chiropractor I had seen prior to coming here. After the very 1st correction Dr. Gertner performed on me, I could actually raise my arms up over my head!! I was able to work, sleep well, and stop taking meds for pain. After a couple of months of continued treatment, my pains were completely gone! If I had never found out about Dr. Gertner, I probably would have ended up having surgery. I met Dr. Gertner two years ago following a heart attack and having two stents inserted into my artery.The solution my Cardiologist wanted to take was to treat me with drugs for high blood pressure and high cholesterol attacking the symptoms vs the cause. This was not the route I wanted to take for my health. I found Dr. Gertner through an ad that stated regular UCC adjustments could relieve high blood pressure. Well that was all I needed to hear and with out drugs. I just recently had a followup appointment with my Cardiologist. My blood pressure and cholesterol are now normal thanks to Dr. Gertner. About 6 years ago, I slipped on some wet leaves and hurt my shoulder. Nothing I did resulted in any improvement. I spent the better part of two years trying to find a solution to my injury that no one could seem to figure out. After a year long bout with Lyme disease, I was chronically dizzy and nauseated. I found my way to a NUCCA chiropractor when all other causes had been eliminated. Dr. Gertner accommodated me on very short notice and patiently explained how his modality might help. He was cautiously optimistic. And he was correct. The process was a long and gradual one of over a year but I am certain that this correction was what brought me back to functional. Lyme is a horrible illness that attacked me where I had a prior weak spot. To this day I receive regular adjustments from NUCCA practitioners and it really keeps me out of trouble. I started seeing Dr. Gertner because of my scoliosis that caused severe back and neck pain and migraines on a regular basis. I've been a patient of Dr. Gertner since March 30, 2015. It is now April 29, 2015 and I am amazed. I've been in pain since 1991. There has been chronic, migrating soft tissue pain that was causing me to have injections to block the nerve. I haven't had an injection in 4 weeks. I was going every week since May, 2014. I think that says it all. Narcotics and injections do not help chronic pain; they just prolong the healing and management we are all looking for. Twenty-four years, almost to the day, and I have finally found useful help and information.Thank you for being there.
