Michael D. Altheimer, MD / Greensboro Endocrinology, PLLC

Dr. Michael Altheimer graduated from University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 1981. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in Portland, OR from 1981 to 1984. He then completed a fellowship in clinical endocrinology at the Cleveland Clinic in 1984 to 1986. He is board certified in internal medicine, as well as endocrinology and metabolism. Dr. Altheimer has practiced clinical endocrinology in Greensboro, NC since 1986. As a specialist in endocrinology, Dr. Altheimer has extensive experience providing care for people with a variety of hormonal disorders such as diabetes, high cholesterol, obesity, hypertension, osteoporosis, and thyroid disorders, among others. His top priority is to provide each of his patients with the highest level of quality, personalized care, while working collaboratively with the rest of each patient's healthcare team.
