Outpost Studios is a post-production audio facility located in San Francisco’s Waterfront District. The studio offers 5.1 Dolby mixing, sound design, music editing, voice-over, ADR, Foley as well as custom music compositions.Outpost Studios was founded in 2004 by Supervising Sound Editor, Dave Nelson. Since then, Outpost continues to provide excellent audio post production services for many award winning films and professional projects. We offer Dolby 5.1, DolbyTrueHD encoding, stereo, mono, 35mm, 16mm, television, stems, M&E Mix and computer compression. Outpost Studios has the only Dolby approved mixing stage in San Francisco. Dolby has supported Outpost Studios for over 15 years to bring high audio standards to the San Francisco independent film community.The Dolby approval process ensures that the speakers are located behind an acoustically transparent perforated screen in a room with precise dimensions. In addition, the mixing stage is calibrated with the legendary Dolby Lake Processor. All of which ensure that what you hear at Outpost Studios, the world hears in theaters.Our mixing room features Klein &Hummells, Genelec 1030A and Yamaha NS-10 speakers as well as a Dolby Lake Processor Room EQ.
