Mike Owen, President of Stonebriar Mortgage, graduated from Texas Christian University in 1996. The next year, he began working for Landmark Mortgage. As he grew in experience, he realized he could do more for customers if he launched his own independent mortgage company.

That was what led Mike Owen to incorporate Stonebriar Mortgage in Frisco, Texas, in August 2000. In 2001, Stonebriar Mortgage moved from Frisco to Dallas and relocated their office to Preston Center.

After 7 years in Preston Center, Stonebriar Mortgage again relocated, this time to Lakewood, where Mike Owen and his family have lived for over 10 years.
