Nicole is trained and has worked in the areas of depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, grief and loss. Nicole also has extensive experience working with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) communities. Based in Narrative Therapy she believes that each person is born into a world constructed for us by parental figures and/or social institutions. Oftentimes, we incorporate the dominate narrative into our concept of self and that view of the world does not fit our true selves which leads to behaviors that detract from the ability to succeed.
