Founder and CEO Michael E. Lopez brings a wealth of insurance knowledge to CGCA. He commenced his insurance career as an intern for State Farm Insurance Co. (State Farm) while still attending college at Florida International University (FIU). Upon graduating from FIU with a Bachelors degree in Finance, he accepted a position with State Farm as a claims adjuster/appraiser.
During Michael’s 12-years as a claims adjuster/appraiser for State Farm, he gained a wealth of experience and insight into the philosophy and inner workings of an insurance company. His experience as an insurance company adjuster places Michael in a unique position when representing and advising clients.
Since leaving State Farm in 2008, Michael’s served as a licensed public adjuster in the state of Florida. In 2011, Michael founded CGCA. During his tenure he has successfully represented thousands of individuals and businesses in their insurance claims. He understands the tactics insurance carriers invoke during the claims process and how to maximize recovery under the terms and conditions of a policy. Michael’s background qualifies him as an expert in matters related to policy coverages and claims as well as a competent appraiser to resolve disputes.
