A physician assistant will thus do everything delegated by a physician and that may involve diagnosis, therapy and prevention. They will take the health history of the patients, examine them, order laboratory tests or x-rays if needed, make diagnoses and finally treat minor illnesses or injuries as under the physician's guidance. PA's sometimes also counsel the patients and may even have some managerial duties.
