Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home was founded by Max and Gentle Lee Brannon in 1967. Max began his funeral service career at Combs Funeral Home in Calhoun. He opened the doors to his very own funeral home at the intersection of College Street and what is now known as Old Red Bud Road.
