The main reason for this is that the really good people, the ones who complete the highest quality work, don't have to advertise - they rely on getting all of their business via word of mouth recommendations. If you would like an idea of how many businesses are in your area, then the yellow pages is a great place to start; it is not, however, recommended for making your final decision.
