Brian Boggs Chairmakers

Internationally acclaimed furniture designer Brian Boggs started his woodworking career in Berea, Kentucky in 1982. There, he headed up woodshops in various sizes and locations. He moved to Asheville, North Carolina in 2008, when he and his wife, Melanie, established Brian Boggs Chairmakers.

Brian's woodworking philosophy stems from an ingrained respect for nature, as it is reflected by trees and the human body alike. Our craftsmen continue to honor his early lessons learned from years of splitting trees apart to obtain perfect grain orientation.
