Get the services your child and you deserve. I have spent 14 years being an Educational Advocate, trained by the Federation for Children of Special Needs, and was a former legislative advocate. Having two beautiful children one that had Autism now undiagnosable as teenager and a medically challenged daughter lead me to be a constantly practicing strong advocate. The educational system offers many challenges. Challenges that I had faced with my son and my daughter. To navigate this system one needs to learn the how to's of IEP's and 504's. I was successful and my children received all that I fought to get them. In my journey I tried twice to hire an advocate, this proved fruitless and costly. Hiring an advocate that you can trust, one that has a successful track record and does not have extreme fees is critical.
