You're in the heart of peach and pecan country when you stay at this KOA in Clanton. The 18-acre campground includes pull thru sites and tent camping. A walking trail on the grounds surrounds the 10-acre stocked lake. On the campground's pier, you can fish for bass or just relax in one of the rocking chairs. There's a large outdoor pavilion and a meeting room with a kitchen available to campers. Enjoy the 48-inch TV (with cable) in the KOA Lounge. A new playground tops off the fun. Across the street, Heaton Pecan Farm serves lunch and dinner and sells pecan pies and candies. In June, join in activities at the annual Chilton County Peach Festival or the Peach Jam Jubilee, both held in Clanton. In nearby Montgomery, you'll find a zoo, the Hank Williams Museum, The Oaks Plantation and historic walking tours in Old Alabama Town. Or take a trolley ride to historic sites. Office hours Monday through Saturday are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday, please use night registration; hosts are on-site.
