Suriya was incorporatedin 2000 by entrepreneurial couple Roshan and Ruwanmali Sepalika Jayasinghe as a "made to order" manufacturer of wooden furniture and retail outlet for Sri-Lankan handicrafts based in Colombo. Since its inception the company has grown from strength to strength and today is a leading Sri-Lankan lifestyle store with products ranging from custom made wooden furniture, handloom fabric, candles, iron furniture, therapeutic products, cutlery and decrative household accesories to name a few.
