UAB Travelers Health Clinic

UAB offers special medical care for people who travel, especially those who travel outside the country. UAB Travel Medicine is made up of physicians who specialize in infectious diseases and other medical problems that may come up when traveling. Our patients receive an individualized travel consultation with a specialized physician and the most up-to-date pre-travel medical preparation. We also provide educational materials about staying healthy abroad, proper vaccinations for travel and medication for self-treatment while abroad. The UAB Travelers’ Health Clinic has a full lab to detect parasites and provide treatment for patients with possible tropical or parasitic diseases.
