KFMB-TV, also known as CBS 8, has a rich tradition of firsts: the first station to offer local newscasts, the first news in color and the first to broadcast local news in High Definition. In addition to its leadership in technology and innovation, CBS 8 is consistently recognized as the local news leader.

On the radio side, KFMB-AM (AM 760 KFMB) provides entertainment, news and both local and national talk shows. KFMB-FM launched its current format, 100.7 JACK FM, on August 7, 2005. 100.7 JACK FM is widely recognized as one of San Diego’s most popular radio stations, playing adult contemporary music. The DSC Show, San Diego’s top rated morning show, is the morning drive programming on 100.7 JACK FM.

CBS 8, 100.7 JACK FM, and AM 760 KFMB broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week. KFMB is heavily involved in the San Diego community. This involvement includes special station projects such as Adopt 8 as well as promotions, fundraisers, charitable events and public service announcements.
