CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital is located on the 5th floor of Mission Hospital's patient care tower. It operates as a separately licensed pediatric facility with its own medical staff, including pediatric subspecialists, registered nurses and child life specialists. While linked to Mission Hospital's trauma center, high-level obstetric and perinatal program and ancillary services, CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital features medical/surgical beds, a pediatric intensive care unit, a level III neonatal intensive care unit and an inpatient epilepsy monitoring unit. CHOC Children's at Mission Hospital serves as the only dedicated pediatric healthcare facility for families in south Orange County, the surrounding coastal areas and north San Diego County.
