The Rye Bar at Capella Washington DC, Georgetown is the perfect location for our primary focus, fine American Rye Whiskey’s.

History notes that George Washington was among the noted Whiskey producers of his time, as was the Governor of Virginia, Thomas Jefferson who was engaged in the trade of Whiskey as well.

In addition to a selection of great Rye Whiskies, The Rye Bar will also feature a wonderful collection of all fine liquors and spirits, from premium Champagne to Herradura tequila and complemented by the finest ingredients in handcrafted cocktails. Our bartenders will specially prepare drinks the old fashioned way, using time-honored bar tools and utensils to maintain the integrity.

Our specialty ice cubes, hand shaved and made from pure water resources in the Washington, D.C. area will enhance the drinking experience instead of diluting them. This way our guests at The Rye Bar can always count on a clean and fresh tasting drink.
