The Underground’s goal is to connect women of all shapes and sizes with fantastic group fitness instructors, in a safe judgment free environment, and encourage these women to become healthier and live with less stress.

I am the owner of the Underground Fitness Club and I am an overweight, 40+ year old, married woman with kids. I am a Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and friend and I understand the stresses that most women feel. I have created the atmosphere at the club to make me feel safe enough to workout, without feeling judged by others. I preserve this club as an environment to be appreciated, away from the daily grind, away from the stresses that take the life out of us, even if only for one hour.

With our club, you choose your own membership plan, as low as 4 classes a month or 3,6, or 12 month unlimited plans, All-Access options to both studios - You only pay for what you use and how often you use it.

At the Underground we understand that if you do not have new things to try and fun things to challenge you, then you get bored and won’t come back. That is why The Underground took the risk to be the first women only fitness club to offer Pole Fitness, Aerial Fitness and in 2014 Barre Fitness classes in McHenry County. The Underground promises to continue to try new exciting ways to keep women interested in coming back.

The Underground Fitness Club has two dance studio's within a 2500 square foot women's only facility. It includes state of the art sound equipment, full length mirrors, 12 dance/fitness poles, 15 aerial fitness/yoga swings and over 20 foot tall silks.

Our mission is to give women of every shape, size, weight and age a safe judgement free place to come out and play, dance, socialize, and boost their confidence while we are at it.

We offer POLE Dancing, POLE Fitness, Girls Night Out Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Aerial Fitness, Aerial Silks, Group Fitness Classes such as INSANITY, P90X, YOGA X, FITCHIX, MIXXEDFIT, Zumba Step and Zumba. We also have special group outings we participate in such as Dirty Girl Mud Run, Live Concerts, Baseball Games, and other fund raising opportunities. It's a whole new experience when you join the Underground.
