History

Established in 1999.

Copy Doctor was launched on June 1, 1999 when Don Sowa and Rex Baggett opened the first store in Friendswood, Texas. The name copyDR was created using the first initials of Don and Rex's names. The first store was so successful that on July 1, 2000, a second store was opened in Houston, Texas on Buffalo Speedway at Westpark. The Buffalo Speedway store also experienced rapid sales growth, and in June of 2005, was relocated to 3814 Bissonnet; a facility twice the size of the one it replaced. In 2008, we purchased our own building and relocated our Friendswood store to a larger, more convenient location, with ample parking for our customers!

The real secret to our success can be summed up in one word: People. Our associates are known for their friendliness and willingness to go that "extra mile" for our customers. We have since come to be know as Your Document Emergency Room!
