Our combined experience spans more than six decades yet we continue to remain excited & feel privileged in working with our clients. We are especially skilled in and love working with relationship issues. Our own wonderful, continually growing marriage of 35+ years serves as our inspiration and grounds our work in solid reality. This, along with our many years of training with top relationship experts, provides for our innovative and very successful approach.



We begin with a thorough assessment which help couples better understand and accept themselves and each other as we invite them toward their own “securely attached” status. Our assessment instruments and skills training help guide them to more satisfying, and more intimate communication and conflict resolution, and more stable, higher-level functioning.



We recognize that an evolving, intimate marriage/relationship requires individual courage, commitment & hard work. We want our couples to be proud of their relationship & the effort they put forth in creating its long-term success. Creating a “monument to marriage” can be one of the most satisfying accomplishments for any human being and a real gift to the next generation.



We work with couples in all stages of development - including premarital assessment & preparation for marriage with our own methods along with the excellent Prepare/Enrich Program. We have over 40 years of experience teaching couples’ classes and workshops, such as the popular and very useful Essential Marriage Skills™ & Marriage Makers/Marriage Breakers™. We also have many years experience working with gay and lesbian couples.



GROUPS: We recognize the importance of interpersonal skills & “emotional intelligence” to both personal and career success. We have been co-leading personal development groups for the past 30 years, where everyone learns from everyone else, and where the opportunities to acquire the art of intimate, authentic communication is unrivaled. These high functioning co-ed groups consist of the two of us as co-leaders and men and women, matched by issues, life stage and educational level. The group’s support and acceptance, over time, can heal not only attachment wounds, but most of the self-defeating patterns we may have acquired in childhood or as teenagers. These are known as Schema and include: Emotional Deprivation, Mistrust & Abuse, Unrelenting Standards, Approval Seeking, Subjugation, Failure, and Entitlement and more.
