Pennington & Cherne, P.L.L.C. was co-founded by Kim Pennington in 1982. Russ Cherne began working at the firm while attending law school, was then hired as an associate, and became a shareholder in 2007. Michael Gaarder joined the law firm in September 2007 after completing judicial clerkships with the Honorable Fred Casey and the Honorable Richard Zimmerman in Crow Wing County.

Since the firm’s founding, our attorneys’ focus has been providing quality, cost-effective legal services to our clients, no matter the complexity of your case. Occasionally, your case may raise a legal issue outside the expertise of our firm. In such cases, our attorneys will either work with or refer you to a specialist in that particular area of law.
