Goodman Group

Goodman Group is an Australian incorporated industrial property development and management company.
The organization was founded in 1989 as a private property trust focused on industrial properties, catalog on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) in 1995 as Goodman Hardie Industrial Property Trust. In 2000 the trust combined with Macquarie Industrial Trust and was renamed Macquarie Goodman Industrial Trust.
After a series of mergers, the organization became recognized as the Macquarie Goodman Group in 2005, at the time the leading industrial property trust on the ASX and fourth largest in the ASX 200 property catalog.
In July 2007 the organization was renamed to its present name, after Macquarie Bank sold its 7.7% interest almost a year earlier. Goodman is now the second largest industrial and industry park property group in the world after it expanded its operations into Europe and Asia through a series of acquisitions.
As of June 2008, the group had 371 properties under administration and 97 developments.
