The Kaplan Group is the premier commercial debt collection company in the U.S. Founded in 1991 by Jerry Kaplan, and currently managed by Dean Kaplan, we have large trans­ac­tion nego­ti­a­tion expertise and exten­sive inter­na­tional experience.

Many of our pro­fes­sion­als have exten­sive expe­ri­ence as exec­u­tives, con­sul­tants and lit­i­ga­tors for Los Ange­les com­pa­nies. Dean Kaplan was a man­age­ment con­sul­tant at KPMG for 8 years, help­ing hun­dreds of south­ern Cal­i­for­nia com­pa­nies with busi­ness plans, merg­ers, acqui­si­tions and val­u­a­tions. He ran his own small man­u­fac­tur­ing busi­ness for 8 years in the City of Indus­try. Anne Grupp was Asso­ciate Gen­eral Coun­sel for Turner Broad­cast­ing (TNT & TBS) and West Coast Coun­sel for the MPAA (Motion Pic­ture Asso­ci­a­tion of Amer­ica). Jerry Kaplan co-founded a bank and a bank­ruptcy pref­er­ence defense com­pany in addi­tion to Kaplan & Kaplan, one of the largest com­mer­cial col­lec­tion agen­cies in the coun­try when he sold it in 1989. We have direct busi­ness expe­ri­ence in many of Los Angeles’s main indus­tries includ­ing enter­tain­ment, aero­space, man­u­fac­tur­ing, real estate, finance and ser­vice indus­tries, and we use this to achieve supe­rior debt col­lec­tion results.
