In the beginning I bought a new chain for my chain saw, parts of the chain was back to front. I was having trouble cutting so I return the chain back to the shop to get it re-sharpened, I also explained parts of the chain was back to front. They sharpened the chain and charged me 15 bucks, I didn't received an apology. I was having trouble with my ride on mower, it was having trouble starting. I visited the shop and they explained to me it was the solenoid. They didn't have a genuine one in stock so they recommended me to buy a after market one for 30 dollars. I swapped over the solenoid with the new one and I still couldn't get it started so I decided to go back to the shop. I spoke to the guys there and they explained to me it could be the switch. So I bought a new switch, another 20 dollars. After installing the new switch it still wouldn't start, sometimes it would start but wouldn't keep running or the fuse would burn out. After this I decided to take it to the shop. I rang beforehand and they explained they should have it done the following week so I took it in. After the following week I rang and the person I spoke to said it wasn't ready and had no idea what was going on with it. They explained to me they would get the mechanic to contact me. After a few days, I didn't get any response so I contacted them. After speaking to the mechanic they asked me if I could send the original switch and solanoid to them in case I replaced it with the wrong one although they were the ones who advised me to get the part I bought. After sending the parts to them, about two weeks after I still wasn't contacted. I contacted them and it was explained to me that labour was becoming expensive, the labour was becoming more than what it is worth and they still hadn't found the problem. They asked me whether I was interested in selling the ride on mower as another "customer" who was interested in buying it for "spare parts". I asked how much were they offering? They weren't sure so they contacted me back. The "customer" was offering me $100.00 dollars, wasn't even enough to cover the bill, definitely less than what I paid for it. I asked them to keep working on it until it was working. I also asked the mechanic to try and get it working with the pull start rather the electrical ignition. After a month of the ride on mower being in the shop, I rang them and they explained to me that they said hadn't fixed it, still can't find the problem, explaining that it was an electrical problem. This is when I decided to pick it up, the guy explained that he had been really busy and didn't have time to properly sit down and have a good look at it although he still charged me $175 bucks! In fact he explained he was constantly disrupted with customer service and other priorities. He constantly went on about to find the problem he would have to get an auto-electrician to come in and have a look at it although I asked him to try and get it going with the pull start rather the electrical ignition. He then went on explaining to me that I could get it started by removing all the wires and just using the pull start. When I asked him if he could show me how to do it, he explained to me he wouldn't because it would no longer have a kill switch, and that if I injured myself I could sue them. After receiving the ride on mower back, I didn't receive any apology of any kind, the fuse that was blowned was never replaced and the top cover was never taken off as it was still the way I left it before I gave it to them, therefore it is quite obvious they didn't try and get it to start with the pull start. I highly doubt they even worked on it at all! Please take note of the quotes I obtained from their first paragraph under service and repair on their website, "Our workshop boasts one of the shortest turn-around times in the valley. Our team of mechanics pride themselves in doing the job properly and will get you back in your garden as quickly as possible at the lowest cost" . And another quote stated from their title obtained from the website, "When quality and service matter". Free free to make a decision yourself as I am entirely convinced their statements aren't true!
