Firstly I would like to start with the appalling service I have witnessed my parents go through with this joke of a dealership, that prides itself on customer care and professional service. My parents purchased a vehicle in good faith from Nick after having 6 months of hell with their new house, health problems which were all explained to Nick and expressed their reluctance to even purchasing a car at this point in their lives. They pointed out corrections that they would like to be made on the initial viewing. These corrections weren't made. Nick was proud to address the "thorough" 2 hour used car check that is supposedly carried out on their vehicles, however this was not the case; the sunroof didn't work, the brakes were warped, scored, rusty and pitted on all 4 corners, missing pieces of interior trim, a very poor attempt of a valet and valeting equipment left in the vehicle on hand over. Secondly when collecting the vehicle with my mum, we didn't even manage to leave Kettering as the car violently shook when braking at 60-70mph, however they admitted the vehicle shook at 75mph, so members of staff were breaking the law in a customers vehicle??? We took the vehicle straight back to Chariots and was given a courtesy vehicle. I was told that it would be sorted and the 2 hour used car check would be carried out again (I have asked for the paperwork 3 times to see what has been checked but yet still not received it) leads me to believe it hasn't been done at all! Chariots delivered the vehicle back to me, but then on it's first 4 journey, a short 4 mile round trip, the car broke down TWICE and the engine just completely cutting out when was in use and wheels in motion, I consider this to be extremely dangerous, as my husband, my daughter and her friend were in the car at the time. Luckily no one was hurt. At this point I have completely lost faith in the car and after handing a car over for part exchange that was completely road worthy and legal my parents are now left with only option but to reject the vehicle and be reimbursed in full. However, Chariots have completely dismissed my parents request and refused to give a full refund. Offering nearly £1000 under the full amount, they of course rejected Franco's offer to which he replied "Fine, I will see you in court then". This is breaking the law under the sales of goods act 1979, the vehicle is not fit for purpose, of a good quality standard and is not as described!!! My poor parents have now got to attend court just to retrieve their hard earned money that this poor excuse of a garage have practically stole! -So in conclusion, if you want a car that doesn't run, buy one from these cow boys and expect to receive appalling service, bad management and a dirty vehicle with safety issues! -Buying a car from this garage could cost you a minimum of £500 of your hard earned cash when it fails to run within the first week! -Feel free to buy a car from this garage, but it'll probably end up sitting on the side of the road, cos it don't run! I am fully aware of what consumer rights my parents have and this is far from over because I for one will not have my siblings or parents out of pocket or riding around in a vehicle that isn't safe!
