Currently going through trading standards and seeking legal advice regarding supply of an incorrect / faulty engine. Supplied me an engine for £1000 with all engine numbers filed off. I was promised an engine with 66k miles, but engine received isn't even from the car they said it was and is designed for a lower powered front wheel drive car. Worse yet.. the engine was badly worn and was showing signs of being knackered after less than 200 miles. Motors in Motion are refusing to replace the engine. They took the car for almost three weeks on the promise that the full engine would be rebuilt. Got it back, drove it another 700 miles (bedding it in the whole time) but now it's completely failed. I do not trust this company. They make promises to fully rebuild the engine but if that was the case it wouldn't have failed after just 700 miles of steady driving. Their 6 month guarantee means nothing. They try to blame you when something goes wrong and don't like to admit that they're in the wrong. I'm now being ignored by them and I have a car that cannot be driven anywhere at Christmas! Until this problem is rectified my review remains as above. This company will make loads of calls when trying to secure the sale but couldn't care less when you actually have a problem with their product or service.
