Definite Food Service

Darrell Fraser, President and Owner, started in the vending business with Major Vending in 1972 and remained there until leaving in 1996.
In 1997, starting with 6 vendors, he started his own company, Definite Food Services and grew the business steadily one client at a time until March 2011.
In March 2011, Definite Food Services purchased Bluenose Vending Services. Amalgamating the two companies, we are now the third largest vending services provider in Nova Scotia.
Today, we employ a staff of 16, operate 4 foodservice cafeterias, own and operate over 325 vending machines and proudly serve over a 145 clients.
We have steadily grown our business by focusing on service, forming partnerships with our clients and customers and continually modifying what we offer in equipment, concepts and items to best meet their needs and wants.
We were one of the first to offer “healthier choices.” We have introduced “Choose Something from the Right Side” which is a blend of Traditional and Healthy Choices to educate customers on making better choices as well as our lineup of exclusively healthy choices, we call “Better For You,” with graphics to match in both concepts.
