Historic O’Keefe Ranch, founded in 1867, tells the story of early BC ranching and endeavors to preserve the history and culture of the early ranching era for future generations. Situated at the head of Okanagan Lake, it was once a small, self-contained community with various facilities, including a Post Office, blacksmith shop, grist mill, and even its own church and cemetery. Many original buildings remain.
The Ranch aims to create an engaging attraction, while maintaining the heritage, agricultural and farming character. Our mission is to bring ranching and farming heritage to life and create vibrancy for our communities through interactive activities and events. Most importantly, our goal is to preserve and demonstrate the rich ranching and farming heritage of the North Okanagan.
