Paxton Sound Inc

We provide sound and lighting for special events and concerts. I started the business in 1992 after playing in a band for many years as a musician. I was asked by concert and festival promoters where our band would perform to provide sound and lighting for their events. This lead to Paxton Sound, Inc. The business has evolved over the years into a full production sound and lighting company. Meet the owner, James Eric Paxton; I have always had a love for music. I started playing guitar at age 14. Within a year, I was playing in a band for school events and private parties. I owned a custom sound system when I was 16. I continued playing in that band until age 20. After that, I took a break from music. I started working for General Motors in Shreveport and Bossier City, LA in 1983. I received a call in 1987 from former band members who wanted to put a band together for a class reunion. The Brad Walker Band was formed at that time and played at various events throughout the Ark-La-Tex for several years. My interest in sound and lighting production was a result of being a part of the Brad Walker Band. I left the band in 1991 and began Paxton Sound, Inc. I also worked for GM for 30 years until retirement.
