Who hasn't heard about this gracious Southern belle of a city, filled with history and made even more famous by novelists? Set up camp here, then set out to explore Savannah's charming historic district. Ride in a horse-drawn carriage or pick up a walking tour brochure so you can marvel at the more than 1,400 restored buildings. Tybee, Jekyll and Hilton Head islands are all nearby with gorgeous sands, championship golf, deep-sea fishing and other opportunities for fun.Then return after a busy day of sightseeing to the quiet serenity of Savannah South KOA. We have lots of spacious, easy in and out pull-thrus, beautiful, shady back-in spaces on the lakefront, along with rustic one or two room cabins and a lodge situated near our lake, (please, no pets or smoking in cabins or lodge). We also have a sparkling swimming pool too! Bring your poles and tackle because the fish are always biting and no license is required to fish in our lake. There is nothing more relaxing and beautiful than watching our hand raised swans and wide variety of waterfowl. We also have rental boats for your enjoyment.Check in time is 12 p.m. for RV sites and 3 p.m. for cabins. Check out is 11 a.m. for all sites. Come enjoy everything that Savannah has to offer!
