The Galvin’s tradition first began in September of 1940 by Roy and Dottie Galvin. By raising their own chickens, Roy and Dottie proved that quality was their top priority in each of the dishes they prepared. This simple but crucial philosophy gave Galvin’s a successful start, as Roy and Dottie focused on serving those who traveled the main road between St. Joseph and KC 371 Highway. Knowing what foods people love and crave, Galvin’s started out by serving mouth-watering fried chicken with their specialty coleslaw and crisp french fries.
