We are true Pediatric Dental Specialists trained for the specific needs of infants, children, adolescents and special needs patients. Parents are often unaware that general dentists are not required to have additional training beyond graduation from dental school in order to treat children. Much like a pediatrician, pediatric dentists concentrate on treating children and adolescents focusing on their physical and psychological needs. Pediatric Dentistry is a recognized specialty, which requires an additional two-year residency program after graduation from dental school. This additional education includes child psychology, growth and development, prevention, restorative techniques, sedation, and general anesthesia. With this additional training, we are qualified to offer our patients multiple treatment options suited to meet their specific needs.
