We are an open shop specializing in plumbing, piping, HVAC, and refrigeration solutions. We also perform design build, fabrication, installation, mechanical retrofit and service and maintenance. Our roots go deep all the way back to 1898 when Gregory & Graham provided heating and cooling solutions with coal. Since then, EMC has evolved over the course of the century from companies such as Catlett-Johnson and Eveready Heating & Plumbing. Despite the mergers and changes in the industry, EMC remains a hometown company with hometown values. Our hands-on approach and expertise allow us to maximize value without sacrificing excellent in quality or service. From the small, rural church that needs servicing only once a year to the large, urban hospital requiring our expertise with every step of the design and building process, EMC is committed to meeting budgets, meeting deadlines, and exceeding expectations. Affiliations EMC Company maintains affiliations with several other contractors, adding depth to the service EMC offers its customers American Refrigeration: This Jacksonville, Florida-based firm specializes in low-temperature refrigeration work, including ammonia refrigeration systems and food processing and storage. American Refrigeration has several satellite offices throughout the United States. Master Electric: This Richmond-based union electrical contractor frequently works hand-in-hand with EMC. Woodfin Oil Company: EMC utilizes Richmond-based Woodfin's "Watchcard" fleet fueling system to keep our 182-vehicle fleet up and running throughout the state.
