Disgusting food, worse shisha

As a previous employee of Sahara, i have seen actions that should have been reported to the Department of Health and DOL on multiple occasions.

Unclean pitchers used to serve water, expired shisha( tobacco) is provided to customers, and the food is a joke. It is prepared, then frozen or refrigerated, then reheated for you.
If that wasnt enough they are the most expensive hooka bar in richmond, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY

Do yourself a favor and spend your cash elsewhere.

Terrible

My shisha was dry and the coal was clearly old and stale. My service was also terible. A disappointment, at best.

Not nearly as good as they used to be

I used to frequent Sahara because it was a place to meet up with several friends in the area. I am a hookah enthusiast and enjoy good music from places around the world, as well as exotic food. Well, I noticed right away that Sahara did not have good food, only dry flavorless rice and greasy fries. They're only able to sell any food because there's no other places in the vicinity open at 4 am, and people get hungry after dancing all night at the club. Anyways, the prices are high, even the sodas are over $3 now, what the heck? And they switched from middle eastern music to loud garbage. And their shisha is dry and flavorless, while the smoke is very harsh. I sat there and coughed because the smoke is so harsh. I thought it was supposed to be smooth? I stopped going, all my friends moved on.

Why all the bad reviews?

I work at a downtown overnights. When I'm hungry, I call Sahara. They are the only ones open after 2am. I always get subs from them. Although, their subs are not the best in Richmond, but they are still pretty good. I recommend the Chicken Philly. They also are very speedy with their deliveries.

We also recommend them to guests in the hotel. I seem to get mixed emotions from our guests. They either really love it, or really hate it. About 50/50.

Sorry, but I never tried the Shisha or their Hookahs, so I don't have any opinion on them.

NOT A GOOD CHOICE---GO ELSEWHERE!!!

There are many good hookah bars in Richmond but this is NOT ONE OF THEM.

Aweful management and cleary stale tobacco had me leaving this place with a bad taste in my mouth.

If you're hungry, eat someplace else. The food leaves much to be desired and portion sizes are small, not to mention their entire cooler of beverages are $3.00 and up (for a 20 oz soda!!!!)

Good riddance to bad businesses like these.

The worst hookah bar in Richmond by far.

Long story short, my and some friends ordered two hookas, (one nakla and one starbuzz) and some subs.
Right away we noticed the hookahs were anything but fresh.... they tasted like dirty gym socks and it was VERY obvious that they never clean the hookahs.

Our waitress failed to place our food order after reminding her TWICE.
And to top it alllll off, when our food actually came out, it was saugier than a burger thrown into the toilet. Epic fail.

We complained to management and they literally said "so what??" I couldnt believe they couldnt care less.

Awful, awful, awful place. Sahara is a joke.
