Drew Purdy, M.D., FACC

Dr. Purdy is a Cardiologist at Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He received his medical degree at the University of South Dakota’s Sanford School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Dakota in Sioux Falls and his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Creighton University Affiliated Hospitals.

Dr. Purdy decided to pursue his career in cardiology at age 14 after seeing how his father’s heart attack affected him and his family. He practices medicine because he loves interacting with people and with most of the things he does, his patients see immediate benefit. He is always looking for ways to improve outcome and quality. In his free time he enjoys boating and fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and having family Sunday brunch. He also loves wine and brewing beer, BBQ, traveling and photography.
