The Gazette, located in Downtown Janesville, Wisconsin, is the leading local daily newspaper and online newspaper in Southern Wisconsin covering Rock and Walworth counties and parts of Dane, Green, and Jefferson counties. The Gazettes seven-day, morning newspaper provides local & national breaking news, weather reports, sports updates, obituaries, classifieds, community blogs, entertainment and multimedia to a circulation of approximately 17, 100 daily and 21,000 every Sunday. Dedicated to local matters, the paper provides local news to more than twenty-five communities. The Gazette began publishing in 1845 and was purchased by Howard F. Bliss in 1883. It’s Wisconsin’s oldest newspaper published by its original name and is the only survivors of 57 newspaper that had once published in Janesville.
