The Bushwhacker Museum tracks the history of the region from the times of the Osage to the Civil War and conflicts on the prairie to the evolution of a town as a key rail stop to the west along with the clothes, carriages, medical devices, toys, artifacts housed in 10,000 square foot of exhibit space, and the Bushwhacker jail, which provides a rare example of prison facilities in the late nineteenth century, and the oldest structure in Nevada.
During key times of the year, The Museum hosts Historic Cemetery Tours, Historic Home Tours, as well as hosted events from visiting historians and traveling exhibits.
