Don't let the other reviews keep you away, not that bad
I went twice in the same day - middle of a week day and then back around the early evening. It gets crowded around 5ish so go early if you can.

I really like Hoffman's
I have purchased a dozen or so guns from them both new and used. I have always found the staff to be helpful and knowledgable. I especially like Hoffman's ten bullets for ten bucks policy that has enabled me to test fire guns before I purchase, or in some cases didn't. The only issue is...they get crowded and busy especially on Saturdays, resuting in some long waits at the counter. If that's your hangup, I suggest going on a weekday or early Sunday morning.

Very Good Place
After reading all of the negative comments I was to say the least, surprized. Of course, having dealt with Forest and Field in Norwalk any place is better. My experience with Hoffman's is the opposite in almost every way to the other posters. I have purchased a dozen or so guns from them both new and used. For my money, Hoffman's prices and service can't be beat. If you ever really have a problem with the staff, I suggest you go to the front counter and ask for Scott (the owner).

I just want to say a big Thank You to Scott "T" for helping me with my purchases over the past several days. I came in Saturday and found him to be upmost helpful and honest with his opinion with my firearm purchase. I wanted to buy something else, but ran short on time.
