04/16/2012...DON'T BY A CAR FROM LANCASTER CAR COMPANY (lancastercarco.com). This dealer is not a truthful person. Just bought a used 2005 Lexus GX from him through Manheim OVE internet and he did not disclosed the SUV was missing the spare tire. The spare tire has a tire pressure monitor in it so the light comes on in the auto indicating low tire pressure and will not go out until a spare tire with the tire pressure monitor is put on the car. This SUV has 5 TPSM's in it. According to my repair shop here this tire pressure monitoring system was probably reset by him prior to shipping the SUV to me, so the warning light did not come on in the SUV until three days after I received the SUV. Which means now I have to buy a new tire, TPSM and rim to fix this problem. When LANCASTER CAR COMPANY was contacted about this he acted dumb like he did not know this. He would not rectify the situation and said I should go through Manheim OVE arbitration. Upon checking Manheim OVE arbitration rules as it relates to mechanical/electrical defects it states, " the dealer must disclose defects that are singularly $500 or more " , but the cost to replace the above mentioned item is about $350. Which means he does not have to reimburse me for my out of pocket expenses to fix this problem. This dealer knew this all along and just SCAMMED me. A DECENT, HONEST dealer would never do this. Also, he states in his Manheim ad that the car has the original paint but he failed to disclose the rear bumper was just painted. Another misleading statement and another way to scam you in his description of the car. I bought another car from a dealer in Dallas Texas in 2009 over the internet but this dealer did not play games was very honest in describing the car 100% accurately in his statement and pictures. It is unfortunate in this day and age that people just can't be honest and truthful in their business dealings. STAY AWAY FROM LANCASTER CAR COMPANY because he knows all the tricks of the trade to scam you.
