Dr. Mattox, a native of North Carolina completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of North Carolina. He undertook his internship and residency training in OB/GYN with the Louisiana State University School of Medicine at charity Hospital in New Orleans. Louisiana. He then took his fellowship training in Urogynecology with the University of California, Los Angeles in Torrance, California. He became Board Certified in 1994. Dr. Mattox has practiced Urogynecology in Greenville since 1996 and is an associate professor with the USC School of Medicine in Columbia. He is recognized as a leader in his field, speaking nationally on urogynecology and female pelvic health.
