Awesome
Prospector Outfitter's is one of the nicest stores in the area. The store itself is huge and they offer something for everyone. They carry all of the larger name clothing and shoe brands. And they have clothes and other items of all sizes, for people of all ages.

Pricey
Prospector's carries a lot of outdoorsy type of clothing and the more expensive brands. They are pretty high priced for Fairbanks and really do not have a lot in the way of women's clothing. There is a lot of empty space upstairs in the women's department and they seem to have gotten rid of their bargain racks. It is the last place I go to buy clothes.

Good place to shop
If you are looking for name brand fashions (for winter gear) then this is the place to go. They carried a wide selection of winter coats and equipment for reasonable prices. ( I mean it's not cheap but youare paying for the name brand). They have a big selection of UGG boots which I appreciated and again, thought were reasonably priced for the product. The store is big, usually not very busy and comfortable to walk around in.
