Hartke Insurance

Hartke Insurance was started in 1948 by C.W. Hartke of Evansville, Indiana. He went door to door, offering Fire Insurance Policies for about $12.00 per year. He would huddle around a client’s coal furnace to keep warm, talking about what could happen if those coal embers were to start a fire on the rug or a chimney fire if the furnace became too hot.

A lot has changed through the years. Although we no longer go door to door, we still operate as small family owned business. We help each other and care about our customers. Our goal is to provide the best price and service we can for the coverage you choose. You will notice we say for the coverage YOU choose. We want everyone to have the best coverage, but we also realize that everyone’s budget and individual circumstances are not the same.

Hartke Insurance has come to specialize in auto insurance, although we offer most other lines as well.
