Dr. Benjamin Van Raalte has been in practice for 28 years. He is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery completing 7 years of surgical residency after medical school. He trained at the University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois and Cook County Hospital, and Indiana University. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, which only admits ABMS board certified plastic surgeons. He is also a member of American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and was the first plastic surgeon in the Quad Cities admitted for membership.

He has been President of the Iowa Society of Plastic Surgeons and President of the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgeons. He was selected and completed the ASPS Pathways to Leadership program.
