Buddhist Church San Jose Betsuin

The San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, founded in 1902, is a temple within the Buddhist Churches of America. BCA is a branch of the Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha, a global organization of temples in the Jodo Shinshu school of Pure Land Buddhism in the Mahayana tradition. Located in San Jose?s Nihonmachi (Japantown), we continue to honor our Japanese founding heritage while welcoming all to come listen to the Dharma (teachings). We encourage everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identification, sexual orientation, age or religious background to come as you are, to join us as we walk the path to enlightenment together.
