I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice serving the Los Gatos, Campbell, Saratoga, and West San Jose area. I have an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. I work with individuals and couples who are going through painful changes that cause them to feel off-balance and in need of support. I have experience working with adults and seniors who are having problems in their relationships with others or with themselves. My background includes work with adults and children who have issues dealing with making transitions and who are experiencing stress or anxiety at work, at school, or in family life. I see the role of the therapist as someone who is there for the individual or the couple as a sounding board, a supporter, a resource, and a coach. I believe your role as a client is to listen to yourself, pay attention to what you truly want, make choices about what you are willing to do differently and what you want to keep the same, and to continue down your path with new insight, increased emotional awareness, and practical life skills. I will support you in your search for increasing your understanding of yourself and your relationships. We can work together to help you find more satisfaction and purpose in your life. I will listen and absorb your story and work with you to unlock your strengths, your courage, and your unrecognized talents and passions. We will also work together to uncover the emotional and mental roadblocks that have kept you stuck in the past; helping you to push through them and move forward to a better future. In addition to my counseling experience, I also have an M.S. in Human Resources Management and 16 years of experience in the corporate world coaching and training employees and managers to communicate effectively. I can work with you to improve your business communication skills, plan career or job changes, deal with layoffs or a job search, and to improve your self-management in the workplace.
