Burton Heating and Roofing was founded by Benjamin Franklin Burton in 1901. He owned and operated the business until 1951. Burton Heating was the premier certified contractor for heating services in the Birmingham area during that time. After Ben retired, the company was operated by John L Burton, Sr. from 1951 to 1989. During that time the company continued to grow and was expanded to include service and installation of AC units as they became popular in the early so.
