Westside Animal Hospital

Westside Animal Hospital of Augusta was founded by Dr. Gary L. Wilkes in 1977. For over forty years, the red dog house sign of Westside Animal Hospital stood as a landmark in the CSRA. Under Dr. Wilkes’ leadership, Westside gained a reputation in the community for compassionate care in a warm, unrushed environment. It was this reputation that led Dr. Dustin C. Hawkins to join Dr. Wilkes at Westside Animal Hospital in 2016. When Dr. Wilkes retired from veterinary practice in March of 2018, Dr. Hawkins purchased the clinic and vowed to not only maintain the clinic’s reputation for compassionate and attentive care, but to also introduce the latest in surgical innovation and medicine to ensure that Westside Animal Hospital maintains its legacy of excellence for years to come.
