Completely Heartbroken

My family has been a patient of Forest View Pediatrics for almost 8 years. Dr Zukowski is a great physician and was there for the birth of all 3 of our daughters. His bedside manner is compassionate and he truely cares for children.

However our dealings with his administative staff has been a horrible experience. When Forest View moved from Hales Corners to New Berlin the staff was having a hard time with the transition. In August 2009 we went to Forest View for our kids annual school immunizations and the receptionist said she didnt have a record of us as patients. I was somewhat irriated because in todays technological world, a move like this should be somewhat seamless but nevertheless I was understanding and provided the insurance information to her. About a month later I recieve a bill for 100.77 for the August visit. I called to notify them of the mistake and to explain the issue with our information not being there and confirmed that i do not owe this. They agreed and said they would rebill it to insurance and it would be covered.

This battle continued for a couple of months with the office and everytime I spoke with them they assured me it would be rebilled to insurance. Today I recieve a letter from the office saying that they are "terminating professional care for my family" and that "We are advised to seek care from another Physician" I called the offfice to speak with billing and ask whats going on and after being on hold for almost 30 minutes she came back on the phone and told me that she spoke with Dr Zukowski himself and he said that there was nothing that could be done.

I was completly heartbroken because we truly loved Dr Z and didnt want to leave his office especially since it was due to a billing issue from his office personnel. I wanted to ask him for a reference of another pediatrician in the area that he could recommend for our family. I asked to be connected with Dr Zukowski's voicemail and they said he didnt have one. So I asked for his email and they told me he doesnt have email either. They were very cold, rude and dismissive. I do not know if I am to believe them about Dr Z not having contact information for a long time patient or if he indeed didnt care about losing us as patients. It also raised a flag for us because what if we needed to speak with Dr Z about an issue, how are we to get a message to him? Either way, it's bittersweet because I do not want to deal with his office staff and their mismanaged record keeping ever again. I would recommend saving your time, energy and sanity and seek a pediatrician who has a more organized and professional staff. Best of luck to you!
