Jose Mayans, MD

Dr. Jose A. Mayans is a board-certified Ophthalmologist, specializing in retina and eye surgery. He completed his medical degree at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, School of Medicine in Mexico City. He performed his Ophthalmology Residency at MC Master University in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Mayans did a fellowship in Vitreous Retinal eye surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
His main interests are Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, Retinal Detachment, Cataract Surgery snd Premium IOL, Glaucoma.
Dr. Mayans is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, The Vitreous Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and also member of the Texas Medical Association.
He is available for consultation, English and Spanish; we accept mostly all insurances, including Medicare.
