These guys are scumbags! Sent a truck to the auction that was a COMPLETE lemon. Touched it up so that it would run, but I am now stuck with a blown engine. Here is the scoop: Its a 2005 DODGE RAM, with a cummins engine (diesel). I bought it at an auction, thinking that the only damage was the body work, and the description said - RUNS and DRIVES. They drained the batteries, so that on auction day, the truck would not be able to get started (or people would have heard the valves knocking!). When I got the truck, I called them, so they can at elast tell me what was wrong with the engine, before I took it apart. The owner just BS-ed me some more, saying all I had to do was change the oil, and everything will be fine. I took it to a mechanic, and after listening to it, they diagnosed a dropped valve seat, in otherwords, I need a new engine. When its all said and done, I need to couch up another 13 grand in repairs. I went home and took the engine apart, took the cylinder head off. It just so happens, that the cylinder head is brand spanking new, but two of the pistons need replacing, and one of the cylinders needs to be sleeve-machined! So they went through the trouble of replacing the head, but werent honest enough to at least say something. If I was to drive it for another week, i would have a big heap of steel to take to the scrap yard. Thanks a lot, guys.
